Welcome to Exeter High School

It is a pleasure to welcome you to Exeter High School. Our school was founded in 1985 and is located in the Tamar Valley, approximately 20 kilometres from Launceston.

Our school offers quality educational program for students from year 7 to 12 has a strong focus on ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment in partnership with parents, teachers and the wider community to deliver outstanding educational programs and services. We are committed to maintaining high standards and aim to provide programs which not only develop students’ knowledge, skills and understandings but also nurture their personal development and support their wellbeing.

We personalise each child's education through a number of different support programs. A full range of subjects are offered as options in grades 7,8, 9 and 10 which are studied in conjunction with English, Health and Physical Education, Mathematics and HASS.

Starting in 2021, we will be offering students the opportunity to study year 11/12 through a blend of delivery methods which includes a certificate in Rural Operations with both a University and/or work-ready pathway.

As well as studying a comprehensive range of subjects, students have the opportunity to participate in a range of extra-curricular programs including, music and drama activities, art exhibition and sports teams.

Everyone at Exeter High School is encouraged to strive to be the best they can be. This applies to every member of the school community and every learner so that our students enjoy success and develop as capable, confident and caring young adults.
